What is type 1 diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. As a result, the body is unable to produce enough insulin to regulate blood sugar levels, leading to high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Type 1 diabetes typically develops in childhood or adolescence, and is treated with insulin therapy and a healthy diet and exercise regimen.
Type 1 diabetes cause;
Type 1 diabetes is caused by the destruction of the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas, leading to a lack of insulin production. This destruction is typically caused by an autoimmune reaction, in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the beta cells. The exact cause of this autoimmune reaction is not fully understood, but it is thought to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
